Little Whimsy Books was created by Phoenix native mother-daughter duo, Jessica Allen and Linda Whitaker. Having both left the corporate sector, there was space to collaborate on something special together that felt re-energizing.
In the world as it is today, we want to carve out a sliver of joy where people can forget their troubles for a few minutes and simply delight in the nostalgic feeling of walking into the book fair as a kid: browsing a wide variety of books, selecting a new sticker, discovering the treasure of a trinket to cherish. Putting this concept on wheels meant we can connect with a variety of aligned businesses, stores, events and communities.

At Little Whimsy Books, our mission is to create a joyful, inclusive space—on wheels—where people of all ages can reconnect with the magic of storytelling, nostalgia, and small moments of delight. Through thoughtfully curated books, playful treasures, and community-centered experiences, we aim to spark imagination, foster connection, and offer a gentle escape from the noise of everyday life.

Our vision is to build a more whimsical, connected world—where community feels close, creativity is celebrated, and joy is accessible in everyday moments. We envision Little Whimsy Books as a traveling haven that brings people together across Phoenix and beyond, reminding each person that their sense of wonder is sacred, and always worth rediscovering.
